The Founder’s Table

A seasonal dining experience in Bristol for founder’s looking for real, in-person connection.

The Concept

FOUR SEASONS, FOUR GATHERINGS

Over the space of a year, a small, intentional group of founders will meet in Bristol to share the weight of the world and the excitement of business together over delicious food.

Each time we meet, you will be sat with different people from the group so that, by the time our last gathering comes to an end, you will have broken bread with everyone and leave with a new, local support system you can tap into whenever you need it.

Meet Your Host

Hey, I’m Anna-Louise

2025 was incredibly challenging for me personally, and it would have been very easy for me to give up my dream of launching my own business and retreat to the safety of a 9 to 5.

But deep down I knew I couldn’t go back to that structure. I had become too spoilt being able to go for runs in the daylight during winter and work in the sun over summer.

Thankfully, I’d made incredibly supportive friends who inspired me to keep going. Each one runs a successful business and we regularly met up for Harbourside walks, Clifton pastry breaks, and even went to THE PIG NEAR BATH for our very own Christmas lunch.

Now I want others to experience what I have.

Every season, a new location

Think winter, cosy pub with log burner, and summer BBQ and cold plunge.

I am yet to finalise exact locations but they will all be in and around Bristol.

Meet the fabulous founders who inspired me to launch The Founder’s Table.

On Friday’s we dine

Energy is low and the weekend is upon us, which makes Friday the perfect day to meet.

Timings will vary depending on the season, but I will take into account those who have family responsibilities and are travelling.

What To Expect

As someone who has hosted numerous events, from Rum & Reggae festivals to panels, I know the success of an event largely depends on who’s there.

The Founder’s Table will be an environment where everyone feels safe and genuinely comfortable to be present, which is why I will be sending a short questionnaire to get to know you a little better before accepting payment.

This is to ensure everyone feels like they are in the right room and can contribute just as much as they take away from the conversation.

I know how intimidating it can be turning up to a room of new people, so connecting will actually begin before the first gathering.

With permission, I will share everyone’s preferred social channel so you can get familiar with the table. There will also be the option to book a get to know each other call with me before we meet.

No awkward small talk.

Not at all a networking event.

Just seamless and effortless sharing and connecting.

In-between the gatherings

I encourage everyone to nurture the relationships they make at The Founder’s Table away from the group and in their own way. Over the year, I will share additional get-togethers with you, which you can choose to attend or decline.

My Dining Values

It seems I have been building up to this for quite some time, as back at uni I wrote an entire dissertation on restaurant atmospherics. You bet I got a first for that.

So, as you can imagine, I have high standards when it comes to creating a dining experience.

  • Phones will kindly be asked to be on silent and out of sight. In a world where we are chronically online I want this to be a time for everyone to be present.

  • Bad acoustics ruin good conversation. I will always choose spaces where we can hear each other properly and speak without strain.

  • There will be set place settings so there won’t be a mad rush to shotgun ‘the best’ seat.

    • Using the questionnaire, I will craft suggested topics of conversation you can fall back on with those sat next to you. Not forced icebreakers, just thoughtful prompts so you are not spending the evening trying to work out your common ground.

    • There will be space between courses and space for conversations to deepen. This is not a rushed dinner squeezed into a busy calendar.

The Food

As someone who has infinitely more pictures of food than of myself, I will be paying very close attention to what we will be dining on.

Expect a mixture of nutritious and naughty with all dieatery requirements and preferences taken into account. There will always be a mixture of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on offer.

Proposed Gatherings

  • You’ve built something solid over the last 3 to 5+ years but this stage of business feels different and you want a place to safely share the pressure and enjoyment that comes with it.

  • You’ve realised growth isn’t just about strategy. It’s about environment, energy, and the people you surround yourself with

  • You enjoy being outdoors. Long walks where conversations unfold naturally. A BBQ where you can actually sit and talk, not rotate around the room collecting introductions.

  • You’re not looking for business opportunities or a room full of subtle pitching. If collaborations happen, they happen because of a genuine connection.

  • You don’t need another online course. You need proximity. Perspective. The lift you only get from being in-person with the right people. Having conversations that leave you feelin genergised not drained.

  • You care about building something sustainable, and you want to stay grounded, prioritising nervous system regulation and real connection.

  • You want to finish this year with a small group of founders you can call friends, not contacts. People who understand the emotional weight of building something meaningful.
